Contact the desk
There is one editorial mailbox, [email protected], and it is for questions about what this site publishes.
What the desk will help with
The mailbox is for questions about the published pages: a figure that looks wrong, a source that has changed, a check you think was missed, or a correction you want to report. Write to [email protected] and say which page you mean and what you saw. It helps to include the date you read the broker's own document.
The desk can explain how a calculation on the site works, such as the margin on a 0.10-lot gold position, which needs about $85.50 at the stated leverage. It can also point you to the broker document a figure came from, so you can read it yourself.
No guest posts and no paid placement
The desk does not accept guest posts, sponsored reviews or paid placement at any price. No payment changes a ranking, adds a broker to a page or removes a weakness from a write-up. Messages offering to buy coverage are declined.
This keeps the pages useful to a reader in Nigeria who is checking a broker before sending naira by bank transfer or card. If a broker wants to be covered, the route is the same as for everyone else: publish clear documents and let the checks be run.
The details that make a message answerable on the first read
A useful message states one question, the page it concerns and the outcome you want. Put the page URL and the exact sentence in the first two lines, then your evidence, then your question. If the issue is about gold pricing, include the instrument code XAU/USD, the platform (MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge) and the timestamp. If it is about funding, name the method from the list we cover: local NGN bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payment or crypto. A message that names the thing gets a specific answer; a message that describes a feeling gets a general one.
Say what you already know and what you have already checked. If you have read the regulator caveat and still have a question, quote the part that is unclear. If you are comparing two figures, give both and say where each came from. If you are asking about leverage, note that the page already records conflicting review figures for Nigeria and say which one you are asking about. That saves a round trip. Do not send a screenshot of a whole screen when a crop of the order ticket or the receipt will do, and do not send more than one issue per message.
Leave out anything that identifies you unnecessarily. We do not need your account number, your password, your one-time codes or your full card number, and sending them creates a risk that has nothing to do with your question. A ticket number and the last four digits of a card are enough to discuss a funding issue. If your message contains personal data, say so and we will not repeat it in a reply. The shorter and more specific the message, the more likely it is that the first reply is the one you can use.
Account access, fund recovery and personal advice belong with the broker or a licensed adviser
We cannot open, close, verify or recover an account, and we cannot chase a missing deposit or withdrawal. Those actions require access to the broker's systems, and the entity that serves Nigeria is FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. Use the broker's own support channel for anything that touches a live account, a card payment, a bank transfer or a crypto deposit. If you believe a broker is not on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators, raise that with the SEC Nigeria rather than with this desk, because only the regulator can act on a licensing complaint.
We cannot give personal trading advice, and we cannot tell you whether a loss was fair or unfair. A dispute about execution, slippage or a closed position is a broker complaint, and it follows the broker's own complaints process. What we can do is explain how a mechanism works so that you can frame the complaint precisely: how margin is calculated, why 1 standard lot of gold is 100 oz, and why a pip of 0.01 changes the value of a position. That explanation is educational, not a finding on your case, and it will not recover money.
We cannot recommend a position size, a leverage setting or a funding method for your circumstances. The maximum leverage available in Nigeria is up to 1:200 via the offshore entity, and one review cited 1:30 or 1:20 caps, which is conflicting and was not verified at review; it is a cap, not a setting to aim at. What suits you depends on facts we cannot assess. If you need someone to weigh those facts, speak to a licensed adviser. If your question is about the page itself, send it here and it will be answered on its merits.
The turnaround you should plan for, and why it depends on the question
Expect a reply within a few working days for most messages, and longer when the question needs a document check. We do not promise a fixed hour because the desk is small and every correction is read against a source. A message that names the page, the sentence and the evidence is usually answered faster than one that describes a problem in general terms. If you send a follow-up before the first reply, it moves the thread to the back of the queue. Plan for days, not minutes, and do not use this channel for anything time-sensitive such as an open position or a pending withdrawal.
Correction requests are read in the order they arrive, but a request that affects a stated fact moves ahead of a style note. If you are disputing a number, a licence or a regulator caveat, say so in the subject line and attach the source. A request about wording, tone or a broken link is still read, but it waits behind anything that could mislead a reader about risk. That ordering is deliberate: a wrong fact about leverage or margin can cost a reader money, while a clumsy sentence costs only patience.
Messages that cannot be answered at all are usually obvious on the first read, and you will get a short note saying so rather than silence. If your question is about account access, fund recovery or personal advice, the reply will point you to the broker or a licensed adviser instead of attempting an answer. That note may arrive sooner than a full answer because it needs no research. If you have not heard back after a working week, resend once with the same subject line and the original message attached, so the thread can be picked up without starting over.
What the desk will not help with
The desk cannot help with account problems. It cannot open, close, verify or unfreeze an account, chase a withdrawal, or speak to a broker on your behalf. It is not a broker and has no access to any trading account.
It also does not recover funds, does not investigate a firm for you, and does not give personal trading advice. It will not tell you whether to buy or sell gold, how much to trade, or which account fits your money. Those are decisions for you and, if you want them, a licensed adviser.
Where the line sits between explaining a mechanism and giving personal trading advice
We can explain how a mechanism works, not what you should do with your money. That means we can describe how margin is calculated on gold, why 1 standard lot equals 100 oz, how a pip of 0.01 moves the value of a position, and why leverage is a cap rather than a target. We can also explain what the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators is for and restate the FCA, CySEC and FSCA licences behind FxPro. We cannot tell you whether to buy or sell XAU/USD, how much to risk, or which position size suits your circumstances.
We cannot answer questions that depend on your income, debts, family situation or risk tolerance. Those are personal advice questions and they belong with a licensed adviser, not a contact desk. If you ask whether you should use the maximum leverage available in Nigeria, the honest answer is that it is a cap and the decision depends on your own risk capacity, which we cannot assess. We can show the arithmetic, such as the worked figure that a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin at 1:200 via the offshore entity, but we will not turn that into a recommendation.
We also cannot verify your account, reset a password or confirm a deposit. Those actions sit with the broker, and the entity serving Nigeria is FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. If your question is about a live account, a withdrawal or a blocked card, the broker's own support channel is the only place that can act. We can help you phrase the issue and understand the terms, but we cannot intervene. Keeping that boundary clear is what lets us answer editorial and educational questions without pretending to be a support desk.
How a correction request is checked, logged and either applied or declined
A correction request is checked against the source you supply and against the facts the page is allowed to state. If your evidence is a regulator notice, a broker document or a dated screenshot, it is read line by line against the sentence you flagged. If the page states a figure that was given to us, such as the worked margin example for a 0.10-lot gold position, we check whether your source actually contradicts it or merely describes a different entity or account type. A request that only says a number feels wrong is logged but cannot be applied.
If the correction is upheld, the sentence is rewritten and the page is updated, and the reply tells you what changed. If it is declined, the reply explains why: the source may be out of date, it may refer to a different regulator or entity, or it may conflict with the caveat already printed about Nigeria. We do not remove a caveat because it is inconvenient. The FCA, CySEC and FSCA licences and the instruction to confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register stay in place unless a primary source shows they are wrong.
Every correction request is logged with the date, the page and the outcome, so a repeated request about the same sentence can be answered by pointing to the earlier decision. That log also shows where a page is thin, which is how missing sections get written. We do not publish a list of corrections or name the people who send them. The aim is a page that a reader in Nigeria can act on without being misled about cost, leverage or risk, and the correction process exists to serve that aim rather than to win an argument.
What to attach when you write about a gold quote, a funding issue or a correction
Send the instrument code and the exact time of the issue first. For anything about gold (XAU/USD), include the platform you used (MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge), the order or ticket number if one exists, and the timestamp in your own time zone with the date. A screenshot of the order ticket or the price chart is more useful than a description. If the question is about a naira bank transfer, attach the transfer receipt showing the amount, the sending bank and the reference. For card or e-payment funding, send the last four digits of the card and the payment reference, never the full card number.
For a correction request, send the page URL, the exact sentence you believe is wrong, and the source that supports your version. The source can be a regulator notice, a broker document or a dated screenshot, but it must be something another reader can open. Do not send a general opinion that a number feels off; point to the line and the evidence. If the correction concerns leverage, note that the page already flags conflicting review figures for Nigeria and say which figure you are disputing and why. One message per correction keeps the thread traceable.
For a question about how a cost is built, say which cost you mean: the spread, the commission, the swap or the conversion from naira. We cannot quote a number we were not given, but we can explain what each charge consists of and what it depends on, such as the entity serving Nigeria, the platform and the time of day. Include the account currency and the funding method used (local NGN bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payment or crypto) so the answer matches your setup. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or full card details.
