The calculators

The calculators run in the browser, so the numbers you enter are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server. That includes position size, margin and pip value inputs for gold (XAU/USD). Nothing you type is stored on this site or passed to a broker.

This is deliberate. A reader checking margin on a 0.10-lot gold position, about $85.50 at the stated leverage, should not have to hand that figure to anyone. The calculation finishes on your device and goes no further.

Affiliate Tracking Stated Plainly

This site earns money through affiliate links to brokers, and when you click one, a cookie or tracking parameter records that the visit came from here. That record is used to credit the site if you later open an account with that broker. It does not change the price you pay, the spread you get, or the service you receive from the broker.

The affiliate tracking is set by the broker's own system, not by this site. We do not receive your name, account number, deposit amount, or trading history from the broker. We receive only aggregate confirmation that a referred visitor opened an account, and sometimes a summary count of referrals. No personal data flows back to us.

You can avoid affiliate tracking by typing the broker's address directly into your browser instead of clicking a link here. You can also clear cookies after clicking. Neither action affects your ability to use this site or the broker's services. The affiliate relationship does not influence the facts we state about leverage, margin, or risk.

What This Site Stores And What It Does Not Store

This site stores only the information you type directly into a calculator, and only in your browser's memory for the session. Nothing you enter is sent to a server, saved to a database, or linked to your identity. We do not store names, email addresses, phone numbers, or bank details because we never ask for them. If you close the tab, the numbers disappear.

We do not store your IP address, your device type, your operating system, or your location. We do not store any file you upload because the site has no upload feature. We do not store payment information because the site does not process payments. The only exception is if you email us voluntarily, in which case your email provider and ours retain the message under their own policies.

We do not set a cookie to remember your calculator inputs, your preferred leverage setting, or your last visited page. Each visit starts clean. If you use a public or shared device in Nigeria, clearing the browser history after use removes any trace of the numbers you typed, because they were never stored beyond the tab.

Cookies And What Each Kind Is For

This site uses two kinds of cookies: strictly necessary ones that keep the page loading correctly, and analytics cookies that count visits without identifying you. Strictly necessary cookies do not track you across other websites and expire when you close your browser. Analytics cookies are set by a third-party script and are described in the analytics section below.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media pixels. We do not use cookies to build a profile of your trading interests or to show you different content based on your behaviour. If you block all cookies in your browser settings, the calculators still work because they rely on JavaScript, not cookies, to run.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. On mobile devices in Nigeria, the browser settings menu usually has a 'clear site data' option. Blocking analytics cookies does not reduce the site's functionality; it only prevents the visit count from including you.

Third Parties Involved And What They Receive

Three types of third parties are involved: the analytics provider that counts visits, the broker whose link you may click, and the hosting provider that serves the page files. The analytics provider receives a truncated IP address and a cookie identifier, not your name or email. The broker receives your click and any information you choose to give them on their own site.

The hosting provider stores the page files and server logs that record the request time and the requested URL. Those logs are rotated and do not contain calculator inputs. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with data brokers, advertising networks, or list brokers. There is no third-party comment system, no live chat widget, and no embedded video player on this site.

If you follow a link to FxPro, you leave this site and enter a domain controlled by FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL. Their privacy policy, not this one, governs what happens next. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA; confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators before funding an account.

Brokers and their own cookies

A broker you reach through a link on this site sets its own cookies under its own policy. That policy is the broker's, not this desk's, and it applies from the moment you land on the broker's site. Read it there before you open an account or send naira by bank transfer or card.

Ibadan Account does not control what a broker stores, and it does not receive your account details, your deposits or your trading data. The relationship after the click is between you and the broker.

How Long Anything Is Kept And What Deletes It

Calculator inputs are kept for the duration of the browser tab and are deleted when you close the tab or refresh the page. Nothing is written to disk, so there is no retention period to state beyond 'until the tab closes'. Analytics data is kept by the analytics provider for a fixed period set in their configuration, and we do not control that period beyond choosing the provider.

Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer your question and for a reasonable period afterward for reference, after which they are deleted. Server logs from the hosting provider are rotated on a schedule set by the host and are not retained indefinitely. There is no backup of calculator inputs because they never reach a server.

You can delete everything this site has placed on your device by clearing your browser's cookies and site data. That action removes the analytics cookie and any affiliate cookie set by a broker you clicked. It does not delete anything held by the broker, which you must request from the broker directly under their own policy.

Your Rights And How To Use Them

You have the right to ask what data this site holds about you, to ask for a copy, to ask for correction, and to ask for deletion. Because the site stores almost nothing, the usual answer is that we hold no personal data about you. If you have emailed us, you can request deletion of that email thread and we will remove it from our inbox.

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to the address on the contact page and state what you want. We will respond within a reasonable period. We do not require you to create an account, pay a fee, or prove your identity beyond what is needed to locate the relevant email. There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this site.

You also have the right to complain to the relevant authority in Nigeria if you believe your data has been mishandled. The SEC Nigeria is the local authority for capital market operators, not for general data protection, but it maintains a register you can use to confirm whether a broker is authorised. For this site's own data practices, the first step is to contact us directly.

Traffic and storage

Only aggregate traffic counts are kept, such as how many visits a page received, and they are not used to build a profile of you. Local storage holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator, and it stays in your browser.

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings, and the site will still work. Clearing it only resets the preferences you set yourself.
